They support a broad client base of small to medium-sized businesses, providing services across tax, business services, bookkeeping and advisory. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a growing team and build on their public practice experience. You’ll work closely with senior staff and partners, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients while developing your technical and communication skills. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entities Assist with BAS, IAS and compliance work Support client queries and build strong working relationships Work closely with senior accountants on more complex matters Maintain accurate financial records and workpapers Assist with management reporting and basic advisory tasks Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax requirements EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 2–4 years’ experience in Public Practice / Business Services Relevant qualification in Accounting or Commerce CA or CPA studies commenced or intention to commence Basic understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements Experience with software such as Xero, MYOB or similar Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Good communication skills and willingness to learn THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Ongoing training and development with direct mentorship Clear pathway to Senior Accountant level Exposure to a diverse SME client base Supportive and friendly team environment Flexible working options and work–life balance Opportunity to build long-term career within a growing firm Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia or NZ will be considered.
